Is Your lifestyle Targeting Your Goals?

Still debating on what type of workout is going to make you look your best?

What does your best even look like?

After, experiencing different styles of training, the most effective workouts are the ones we have the hardest time doing. There are many workouts out there, that can be challenging for anyone. However, knowing which one works for you, is what you should always consider.

This is where your goals come in to play.

If you want to burn fat and lose weight; start utilizing your time to the fullest! Get the most out of your training and work multiple muscle groups over a short period of time. This will allow more calories burned and increase energy!

If your goal is to be stronger, you don't want to cut calories out of your daily consumption.

Your workouts need to be geared towards your goals.

Let's review, shall we.

How do I know if my workouts are effective for my goals?

1. Are you being challenged daily?

A goal is achieved by taking consistent and uncomfortable actions. Reaching out of our comfort zones, allows us to become aware of our strengths to push forward. The consistency will generate our strengths and turn them into power strides on our journey.

2. When finished with your workout, how is your energy level?

Exercise increases our level of endorphins, naturally giving us a runner's high. Performing quick workouts, such as Tabata, Interval or Circuit Training; will boost your cardiovascular health, increasing your energy system to burn calories for the next 24 hours. Performing isolated, strength work helps with developing your stability and strength; decreasing your chance of osteoarthritis. There is no right or wrong way to workout, but there is a right and wrong way when it comes to achieving our results.

3. Are you confident?

Exercise is an independent journey. It is an action that you perform to better your mental and physical health. Working out consistently, reduces our stress levels and anxiety. Due to the amount of efforts and energy you feed into your training, you are showing yourself, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Confidence, creates light on your path, so you are able to enjoy and build a brighter future.

4. What foods are you consuming?

Any type of movement, burns calories, dehydrates and stimulates your appetite. Your food consumption, should replenish your body and cater to it's needs. When we workout, our macros (carbs, fats, proteins) are used as energy and support for our functionality. They are best to be consumed before and after our workout, so we have something to burn during and can fuel our muscles after.
These four questions can help you along any fitness journey. It is important to understand where you are in your progress, so you can adjust your workouts and food consumption accordingly.

The absolute worst thing you can do, is not know where you stand on your health and fitness path.
