3 Simple Ways to Improve Your Energy

It's that time of the year, where we are all stressing about staring off the new year strong; whether it be committing to a new fitness goal, raising a family or even beginning a new job. It is common for our bodies to feel drained or lack energy throughout the day. What I have found, is that sometimes it's not because of the physical actions we take, but the amount of mental stress we place on ourselves due to the unnecessary energy we keep close to our hearts. 

Here are a few ways that can help increase your mood and allow your mind to feel clarity. 

1. Smile more

Placing a smile on your face immediately relaxes your body. You feel a sense of comfort, security and calmness. Your smile, can easily attract someone next to you to smile; creating a more positive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. One way to enhance your smile, is by spending more time with the people in your life that make you genuinely happy. Life is too short to spend time with people who don't respect or value you. It doesn't matter how many people you meet in your life, you just need the ones who accept you for who you are and support your journey.

2. Acts of kindness

Performing even the smallest act of kindness; can make a huge impact on your mood and even brighten someone else's life. Helping others without having a reason or any expectations of receiving anything in return, is a powerful way to also keep your mind moving in a more uplifting direction. Hold a door open for someone, respond with a thank you or even call a friend to tell them how much you appreciate them are all simple ways to generate your energy.

3. Achieve inner peace

A negative mind, will never give you a positive life. One aspect that we do have full control over is our attitude; the way we feel in the moment. Learn to distance yourself from all the negativity that is pulling your mind in multiple directions and making you feel unworthy. Start each day with a positive affirmation and really mean it when you communicate it to yourself. You will feel more grateful and appreciative of your mind, body & spirit. 

The more you fuel your mind with love, compassion and generosity, the more you will begin to attract great things into your life.
