3 Ways Meditation Has Helped Me

Meditation has become one of the most powerful tools in my life for creating energy, life and support to my career & lifestyle.

Not only is everyday a new beginning for adventure, but also an avenue for exploring new opportunities. 

I have been meditating for two years now and I invite you to listen as I share with you the most significant benefits, meditation has installed in me.

1. Quiet Your Mind 

If you have a busy schedule, that triggers a bundle of thoughts running through your mind every, single day, it can be a challenge to focus on one task at a time. Slowing down your thoughts, to make time, just to breathe allows you to be alone with yourself. Meditation will give you that pause to decide what feels right for you in that present moment; not worrying about anything or anyone that is moving around you. 

2. Quality of Sleep

As a person who loves to be active and engaged, sleep is crucial when it comes to muscle growth, fat loss and flexibility. After a long day, it is difficult to relax the body and have a great night sleep, because our muscles are tight and our mind is filled with emotional thoughts from the day. Meditation gives me time to settle in to my subconscious mind and reprogram my thoughts. I always end my day, reminding myself why I do what I do; to bring clarity & peace along my journey. 

3. Control Your External Pain

If you are an active person, stretching, yoga and foam rolling are all part of recovery. These forms of recovery focus on breathing techniques to help reduce stress on the muscles. Taking time to breathe through a stretch, will generate enough oxygen, so that the muscle can easily lengthen and become more durable. Foam rolling over a specific knot in your muscle, can prevent any stiffness or pain from expanding to a different muscle group. I use this type of meditation everyday to soften my muscle tissue and prepare me for my next day of training.

Now that you are familiar with a few ways of how meditation has supported me along my journey, I encourage you to find a some moments to explore how meditation could be of great use to yours. I am not saying these techniques will benefit you, but the beauty of meditation is that there is no wrong answer. Meditation is a tool that brings clarity, growth and focus to your life.
